Board of Directors Election Call for Nominations Available through March 8 MNDONA is seeking candidates for the Board of Directors for the following positions: President Elect, Secretary, Assisted Living Advisor, District Directors (2,4,6). There are no incumbent candidates for President Elect, Secretary, Assisted Living Advisor, and District 6 Director. All applications are due March 8 2026. Candidate Eligibility:
Inaccurate or non-verifiable information will disqualify candidate from seeking office for a period of three years. All officers of the organization shall be actively employed as a DON/ADON/RN’s in leadership positions. Should the employment status change, a one year transition period will be allowed. 2026 Elected Positions: President Elect The President Elect serves one year in the President Elect role, and then assumes the duties of President for two years and Presidential Advisor for one year. (total of 4 years). The President Elect shall in the absence of the President perform all duties pertaining to that office. By virtue of his/her office, he/she shall be President Elect of the Board of Directors. He/she shall assist the President with coordinating activities as delegated, schedule meetings and plan programs. Upon completion of a term as President Elect, the President Elect shall become President. Whenever a vacancy shall occur in the Presidency, the President Elect will assume the office of President Assisted Living Advisor The Assisted Living Advisor serves a two-year term. The Assisted Living Advisor shall be responsible for aiding MNDONA in focusing its membership and part of its programming to assisted living nurse leaders. They will be a member of the Spring Connection Committee. Secretary The Secretary serves a two-year term. The Secretary shall be responsible for keeping minutes of all meetings held by the Board of Directors and Executive Committee and for approval of dissemination of any and all correspondence including the newsletter of the organization as determined by the President or Board of Directors. Meeting minutes shall be forwarded to the Board of Directors members for clarification and correction. After the Board of Directors approval the meeting minutes will be made available to the general membership. District Directors 2, 4, and 6 District Directors serve a two-year term. The District Director shall act as a liaison between the local members residing in his/her district with the Board of Directors. The District Directors shall report to the Board of Directors on a quarterly basis, supply proposed agendas, meeting minutes, and any assessed fees for meetings to the Board of Directors for approval. The District Directors may appoint Area Coordinators, as required, to facilitate communication and development. Area Coordinators will not be included as members of the Board of Directors. The District Director may authorize a proxy in writing to represent him/her at a Board of Directors meeting. The proxy has the ability to vote as needed.
