Scholarships & Awards

MNDONA accepts applications and nominations for the following scholarships and awards on a rolling, year-round basis. Deadlines for consideration may be found in each form.

Education Scholarship
Awarded to MNDONA members or qualifying individuals sponsored by a MNDONA member who are pursuing nursing course work to benefit long-term care. Applicants must provide proof of enrollment. Winners will receive a $500 award and be recognized at the annual Fall Conference.

Fall Conference Scholarship
Awarded to MNDONA members or qualifying individuals sponsored by a MNDONA member. Winners will receive a complimentary Fall Conference registration and a $200 stipend for travel and lodging expenses.

Spring Connection Scholarship
Awarded to MNDONA members or qualifying individuals sponsored by a MNDONA member. Winners will receive a complimentary Spring Connection registration and a $200 stipend for travel and lodging expenses.

Assisted Living (AL) Nurse Leader of the Year Award
Presented to MNDONA member who is employed as an AL Nurse Leader for at least three (3) years over the course of their career. Nominees promote excellence, foster growth and development of themselves and their staff, and advance the mission and goals of their organization. Winners will be recognized at the annual Fall Conference.

Skilled Nursing Facility Nurse of the Year Award
Presented to a MNDONA member who is employed as an SNF Nurse Leader for at least three (3) years over the course of their career. Nominees promote excellence, foster growth and development of themselves and their staff, and advance the mission and goals of their organization. Winners will be recognized at the annual Fall Conference.
